America Chooses Our Next President!

Every four years the citizens of the United States of America exercise their right to vote to elect the leader of our country.  The president of the United States has many responsibilities as the leader of the executive branch of the government. It is his or her job to enforce the laws of our country and to act as the leader of our military.

In the 2016 election America has chosen Mr. Donald J. Trump as the next president.  Mr. Trump had a shocking victory on Tuesday, November 8th to defeat Secretary Clinton by a significant margin in the Electoral College.  This victory, along with the other elections held on Tuesday, gave the Republican party control of all 3 branches of the United States federal government. We will study these topics more in depth later on in the year.
